Use this durable film to create multi-color graphics such as labels, emblems and striping in both interior and exterior applications. Film series 3690 has been specially formulated for use on sand-cast, moderately rough surfaces, as well as some low surface energy materials.

When used with compatible products, produced by one of 3M’s Scotchprint® Graphics Authorized Manufacturers and applied according to written instructions, this film can be used to produce a Scotchprint® Graphic.

• Film series 3690 comes in white or black.
• This film withstands severe weather and handling conditions, making it ideal for many commercial and industrial applications.
• It also has an extremely aggressive, pressure-sensitive adhesive for use on moderately rough and low surface energy materials.

• The gray adhesive grants the film excellent hiding power.

Film series 3690:

• is a 2 mil (0.05 mm) opaque vinyl film; 3 to 4 mil (0.08 to 0.10 mm) with the adhesive
• has a gray, pressure-sensitive adhesive, which adheres quickly to a substrate
• films 3690-10 and 3690-12 have a 78# paper liner; film 3690LF-10 has a 94# polyethylene-coated, humidity-stable paper liner

Film series 3690 can be applied to flat surfaces, simple or moderate compound curves, with or without rivets. It has a minimum application temperature of 40ºF (4ºC).

• 3M^TM Screen Printing Ink Series 3900
• 3M^TM Screen Printing Ink Series 9700 UV (line color and four color)

Available in rolls, film series 3690 comes in standard 24", 36" and 48" widths.

Unprocessed film has a shelf life of two years; processed film has a shelf life of one year. It should be stored in a clean, dry area, out of direct sunlight and at a temperature less than 100ºF (38ºC).
